Project day at DTU

The DOLORES project was presented at DTU Project Day on October 23 by members of the PICSys research group, who introduced several ongoing research activities in photonic integrated systems, including the DOLORES project.

During the event, we engaged with master’s students interested in optical computing, silicon photonics, and hardware accelerators for AI, and discussed available project and thesis opportunities connected to current research challenges.

As a result of these interactions, we attracted two master’s students who joined the project:

  • Rishikesh Kedar Chapekar, who will be working on the feedback control loop for microring resonators, focusing on stability and precision control.
  • Atli Hrafn Árnason, who will be working on the design and development of FPGA boards, supporting high‑speed control and signal processing for the experimental platform.

DTU Project Day proved to be a valuable opportunity to present the broader PICSys research portfolio, connect with motivated students, and strengthen the team contributing to the DOLORES project.
